TREES OF THE DOLOMITES AND TREES THAT MOVE - AT THE ALPSTATION LAVAREDO
SPECIAL EVENT ON SUNDAY 13 JULY WITH WRITER AND MOUNTAINEER ERRI DE LUCA
“A tree is a figure that is the opposite of motion. It dies where it is born. But it has a second life that begins when the sap in its vessels runs dry. A new life as wood. Its wonder is not only the fact that it burns, offering its heat to the human encampment. Its greatest virtue is that it floats and so it learned of the world, which is liquid for the most part. Wood becomes a ship’s bow, rudder, oar and it is lifted as a mainmast to hold the sail that captures the wind”.
Alpstation Lavaredo and Montura have the pleasure of announcing this great event held on Sunday 13 July 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the setting of the ancient Bagni di Gogna in the district of Cima Gogna (Municipality of Auronzo di Cadore) located in the area adjacent to the shop.
For the occasion, mountaineer and writer Erri de Luca will share the development of his new documentary “Alberi che camminano” (Trees that move) and tell of his adventures in his beloved Dolomites.
