DOLOMITIARTROCK | MICROCOSM OF THE DOLOMITE ROCKS
Montura and Alpstation Lavaredo support the exhibition project by petrographer Bernardo Cesare
DolomitiArtRock is a cultural event that wants to reveal to the general public the beauty of the microcosm of the Dolomites rocks. It consists of a traveling exhibition of stunning images taken under the microscope starting from thin "sheet" of rocks sampled in Ampezzano. The author of these unpublished images is petrographer Prof. Bernardo Cesare of the Department of Geosciences at the University of Padua.
Dolomites Project srl, Laura Jaurena and Mase Press srl have devised this traveling exhibition that wants to cross the border between micro and macro, making capture, through a journey in time about 75 million years, as the beauty of the landscape of the Dolomites, with its contrasting colors, is also reflected in the base of the rocks: the minerals.
The exhibition will be accompanied by workshops edited by the Educational Museo delle Regole, and, after his stay in Ampezzo, in conjunction with the LabFest Dolomites UNESCO, will move Auronzo. DolomitiArtRock want to reach the audience of Dolomites refuges, where they will be available for cultural souvenirs related to the exhibition.
- From June 27 to August 24, 2015 the exhibition will be inserted in the precious venue of the Museum of Paleontology Rinaldo Zardini delle Regole d'Ampezzo. Opening July 25, 2015.
- From August 25 to August 30, 2015 will remain open in the Museo Palazzo Corte Metto.
- Finally, the exhibition will remain open throughout the month of September 2015 at Alpstation Lavaredo Cima Gogna.
