Bio

Mountain guide, instructor and teacher to new guides, Adriano was born and lives in Sondalo.
He has taken part in many mountain running races:
1981 Wins the Italian title in relay mountain running and the Vanoni Trophy International Race;
1989 Becomes the Italian champion of ski mountaineering and also wins the Pierra Menta (France);
1990, 1991, 1993, 1994 Wins the Pierra Menta;
1992 Finishes 1st in the Everest Skymarathon in Nepal;
1996 In January he conquers Mount Fitz Roy up Via Supercanaleta, going up and down in less than 48 hours. In autumn he takes part in the Everest Skymarathon in Tibet taking 5th place, and five days later he conquers Shishapangma;
1997 He comes 3rd in the Cervinia-Breithorn Summit-Cervinia Skyrunner race, and 5th in the Mount Kinabalu International Climbathon in Malaysia;
1999 He sets a new record in the Ailefroide-Dome des Ecrins-Ailefroide Skymarathon with a time of 4 hours and 16 minutes;
2001 He sets a new world record in Val d'Isère for uphill height difference (17,575 metres in 24 hours).
