DANIELE FIORELLI

DANIELE FIORELLI
Bio

Grandpa Guglielmo and little Daniele: a seventy year old and a little boy, together, first on the paths, then on the slopes of the Masino. «All unhurried – Daniele tells us – no running, with a minimum of gear. And yet with amazing effectiveness, so much so that we always kept within the times of the Bonacossa (a historic guide book for those mountains)». Then there were the summers in Val di Zocca, in the family’s mountain hut, and the discovery of the Val di Mello with its magic plates (and cracks) and the climbs with strange fascinating names: Diagonal Tunnel, Acute Cunicolo, Mixomiceto, The Awakening of Kundalini... And finally the leap to real climbing, from the Dolomites to Mont Blanc: in this way Daniele, surname Fiorelli (which is synonymous with guide in Val Masino), born 1970, became a professional mountaineer, naturally completing the path taken as a child, equally naturally, with grandpa Guglielmo.
