I fell in love with sailing when I was very young, thanks to vacations with my parents in sailboats. I began taking sailing lessons when Iwas eight, at the boat club in Chioggia (Circolo Nautico Chioggia), close to where I live. I still belong to this club which made me an honorary member in 2007 in recognition of my activity in this sport. It did not take long for the lessons to show results. I soon began to sail an Optimist in races throughout Italy and to enjoy a certain success. In 1995 I moved up to the Laser class, a category in which I won the area championship for four consecutive years, as well as numerous other awards in both Italian and international races. From 2000 to 2004 I sailed with the Italian National Team and with the Marine Military Forces Team. Now I participate in the leading professional international races such as Farr 40, GP 42 and Melges 32 to name a few, as helmsman, tactician or mainsail trimmer. My aim is to improve and increase my sailing experience by competing with the great champions of this sport in the hope that my determination will help me achieve ever more prestigious results.
