Facebook Montura follows the mission that commits 170 Italian and foreign technicians and researchers

XXX Italian expedition in Antarctica. We start from today - 22 October 2014 - to follow the mission on Facebook Montura, included as part of the National Program for Research in Antarctica (PNRA), funded by the Ministry for Education, University and Research (MIUR) and under the coordination of the National Research Council (CNR), which will study climate change, environmental contamination, glaciology and testing of technologically advanced equipment. The campaign will run for four months, and will involve a total of 170 technicians and researchers Italians and foreigners, arriving in the coming weeks. Among these Francesco Canale - athlete of the Centro Addestramento Alpino and Mountain Guide - we've heard him just before leaving: «I'll put at the disposal of scientists my knowledge and experience to ensure security during the various activities that are carried out in remote base stations, especially for using of various special snow machines». The Centro Addestramento Alpino is supported by Montura. Despite the holiday season, researchers and technical staff will be working in living conditions are particularly complex. The average temperatures, in fact, vary from 0 to -35 degrees, with 24 hours of light.
