TENACE, MICHELE ZAMBELLI'S BOAT, HAD BEEN FOUND IN IRELAND AFTER 6 MONTHS IN THE OCEAN
News from Montura Sailing Athletes
On July 11th 2017 the Montura athlete Michele Zambelli lost his boat "Tenace - Illumia 12" during the Ostar 2017 near the Terranova coast. The Ostar is an east-to-west single-handed yacht race across the North Atlantic, from Plymouth in UK to Newport in the USA. Due to keel problems the boat started to sink and an immediate action was taken by Halifax Coast Guard that picked up the skipper leaving Tenace alone in the Atlantic Ocean. Michele is moving the boat to Italy, where a restoration process is planned to prepare Tenace for new oceanic adventures.
