Resina and Dusk Chorus
The films produced with the sponsorship of Montura are meeting with more and more success. “Resina”, Renzo Carbonera’s directorial debut film starring Maria Roveran, was the only Italian film selected to compete at the Mannheim-Heidelberg Film Festival (Germany’s second most prestigious film festival after the Berlin International Film Festival). In the annual classification of spectators promoted by “Vivilcinema”, it came in sixth place, right behind films that had won Academy Awards and The Palm D’Or, and won first prize among the films competing in the Directorial Debut category! Meanwhile, “Dusk Chorus”, based on the long-term project “Fragments of Extinction” by David Monacchi has won the prestigious Best European Science Film Award in Nijmegen, Holland. The film tells the story of a journey into the Amazon Forest in Ecuador using a stunning soundscape of an archaic ecosystem , the sonic heritage of millions of years of evolution.
