The repetition of the 'Eternal Flame' route on the Trango Nameless Tower by the Spanish climber Edu Marín, the second in just over 30 years, represents a watershed in the mountaineering world for big wall climbing, but also a great achievement for the athlete himself, who had already set his sights on this iconic route back in 2021, without reaching the summit for two pitches. Climbing routes that are over 500 m long and with difficulty levels that go beyond 8c is already difficult in itself, if it is then done from dizzying heights, such as 4,000 or 5,000 m, the difficulty increases drammatically. In the web-series "Keep It Burning", Edu tells us about his expectations and preparations for the ascent before departure, and then talks about the problems he encountered and the support he received from his father and brother, the ideal climbing partners for such an adventure. Watch the four episodes now available on our YouTube channel!
