Beyond
Fear

Movie Release: 2027

Beyond the chaos, beyond the frenzy of management, beyond the fear and the powerful emotions that bears evoke there is the idea of the bear.
An idea that has accompanied us for millennia, capable of stirring deep and sometimes uncontrollable feelings within us.

Beyond Fears.

There is a side of the Brenta Dolomites that still preserves a deeply wild essence.

Here, nature creates a silent symphony that, embracing all living things, seems to echo the soundtrack of evolution itself.

Human presence is almost nonexistent, and even when it appears, it does so gently and almost imperceptibly, remaining quietly in the background. For this reason, many wild animals have chosen to settle in these lands, roaming freely and undisturbed.
In the profound silence of these valleys—broken only by the flow of rivers and the whisper of the wind—it is possible to hear heavy footsteps and deep breaths emerging from a distant past. Footsteps that, for a time, had disappeared from these forests, but have now returned to complete the original symphony of this landscape.
Since then, this place has come to be known as “the land of bears.”

Following these tracks are others—lighter and more discreet—those of Alessandro, a veterinarian and explorer who has spent years moving silently through these mountains, studying bears and their elusive behavior.
His white hair and weathered face bear witness to a lifetime of experience and countless adventures around the world; yet his eyes still shine with the childlike enthusiasm of someone eager to share precious knowledge.

His words are calm, and his voice carries the steady confidence of a man who has spent years studying the scientific and ethological dimensions of these animals, while never losing sight of the profound emotional significance they hold.

Setting out through these landscapes alongside Alessandro means consciously leaving behind the anthropized and anthropocentric reality from which we come. It means stepping away from the media noise and emotional turmoil that have surrounded the bear debate in recent years, and moving instead toward the timeless, totemic idea of the bear that has always been part of our history.
To follow these tracks is to embark on a journey—physical, certainly, but above all inward. It is an exploration that confronts us with deep emotions and desires: fear, the longing for freedom, and the need for control—forces that often define the dissonance, and sometimes the destructiveness, of modern life.

To try to accept and understand these feelings is to create the possibility of moving beyond fear, beyond chaos, beyond the bear itself, beyond anthropocentrism, beyond our troubled relationship with the wild—and to imagine a genuine reconnection between human beings and the natural dimension of their existence.
Perhaps it is the only way we have to truly change our perspective and respond to the profound environmental and social challenges of our time.
