Beyond is the story of a difficult and intense journey across the largest glacier in Europe, the Vatnajökull, in Iceland. In January 2025, Alex Bellini decides to return to the place of the mission that had seen him as the protagonist eight years earlier. 

What emerges is an intimate and powerful journey—not just the tale of an extreme adventure, but the result of a path that weaves together exploration and self-awareness, shifting the focus beyond physical challenge to embrace a broader, more universal message. Beyond is a reflection on the concept of limits, on letting go, on perseverance, and on the deep connection between human beings and nature. 

Eight years after the 2017 expedition that brought him to the brink of death, Bellini chooses to return to that glacier to revisit the experience with new eyes and seek answers to the questions that have always accompanied him: what does it really mean to go beyond, what does it mean to explore? Why do we do it?
